This just became my new favorite Chinese take-out in NOLA. Unassuming exterior and interior, but all of the food is super fresh and reasonably priced. We were able to get 2 lunch specials that are hugely portioned for a total of $15. Friendly service, clean, and fast.

After a couple of decades living in this neighborhood, I never got around to trying Dragon King.
What a shame. The food here is first rate American-Chinese, ticking off most or all of the traditional offerings--kung pao, mu shu, lo mein, etc. etc. It's cooked up fresh and the sauces are not overly thick, as can be the case with Chinese take-out.
This is primarily take out. There are a few tables, but the majority of business here is take out. Still, it's not an unpleasant space if you're alone or in a small party and want to sit and eat.
Dragon King offers some unusual multi-person combo deals that are a good value, but if you like rice you will need to order that separately.
Five stars for the quality of the dishes, and my new-found discovery that they're both good and consistent--hot, fresh, tasty every time. It's not leagues better than other Chinese places, but enough so that the extra star is warranted. -

This is my new favorite Chinese take out spot. My boyfriend and I ordered the Dinner for 2 special. We had the egg rolls, egg drop soup, pork fried rice, general tso's chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. It was ready in 10 minutes! Everything was delicious and there was plenty to eat. We were so full and even had leftovers for lunch the next day. Definitely a bang for your buck. We will be ordering from Dragon King again and again.

These guys are excellent and deserve 10 stars.
I had gotten off of work late, was exhausted, didn't feel good, and really just wanted something quick to eat with leftovers so I didn't have to worry about making lunch for tomorrow. It was 16 minutes before they closed so I called to see if it was too late to place a delivery order, expecting them to say it wasn't possible, but these angels accepted the order! I got there in under 10 minutes and they were super polite and courteous even though I was definitely inconveniencing them and these guys are honestly just such angels and I'm super grateful.
The food was hot, fresh, large portions, and definitely made my long stressful day a million times better, so THANK YOU SO MUCH (and everyone go to this place because they are wonderful). I highly recommend the family dinners because you get a ton of food and it can last several meals! Their sweet and sour chicken is delicious (and served with sauce on side which is my favorite), and it just smells so good. General Tso's and Sesame Chicken are also classic staples they excel at!
